1. TITLE OF THE PRACTICE – Target Setting
2. OBJECTIVE OF THE PRACTICE
• To create a high motivation and academic excellence in the minds of all the students.
• The attitude to instill of appreciation in academic excellence.
• It is also practice for Goal setting in future endowers.

3. THE CONTEXT
Don Bosco college, Maram has the total of around 2100 students. They are the first generation learners in higher education. They are all from multi tribe, multi cultural, and multi lingual environment of the region. The integration of knowledge and learning without losing the identity of the tribes and their culture has remained a challenge. Without parental support, it is a challenge to keep them highly motivated towards their academic progress. There are always a few weaker and slow learners amidst the active and average students. In this situation imparting knowledge to them under the same roof is a greater challenge to the institution.

4. THE PRACTICE
• Each student of the class is asked set a target for their academic in the begging of the semester.
– It is revisited and reset after subsequent result declared.
– The overall list is displayed in the Class room for them to view every day.
• It is list is kept in common for everyone to see in the class and to encourage each other.
• The clear motivation is given to all the students in this regard.
• As they receive their marks after the semester exams, they are asked to analysis the result with the help of class teachers.
• Then class teacher and Class captain come out with a report of it.

5. EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS
• There were 54 university topper out of 150.
• Five of the departments obtained 100 results.
• Most of the students passed in first and second division marks.

6. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED
• There is delay in getting the list.
• Many students are not aware of the subject which they are going to study.
• The publishing of the result in not in correct time.

2. OBJECTIVE OF THE PRACTICE
• To impart moral and human values in the institution.
• To start the day with good thoughts and enthusiasm to learn.
• To create an interest and involvement of everyone.
• To seek the attention and to put them in a mood of teaching and learning.
– To Impart a discipline instill in them the sense of Punctuality.

3. THE CONTEXT
‘Well began is half done’ is well know phrase. The college hour start with an assembly. The students and staff all gather in an assembly ground for prayer, good morning talk and for official announcements. They all come from different surrounding and different thoughts in mind. The most of the students start the day with the same thoughts or the surrounding. They also get distracted and disturbed by the peers as they keep standing in the assembly. In this context the daily animation by their own peers on the stages brings curiosity, interest, involvement and concentration. It puts them in a mood to listen and to learn from it. They begin the day well with good thoughts and moral values.

4. THE PRACTICE
• The students of each semester from the department are given chance to animate a day.
• By creative way they can present the theme for 5 to 6 minutes.
• They choose different way of presentation like skit, mime, speech, narrative act, song and many others.
• Their class faculty helps them and guides them in all efforts.
• They have rehearsal with staff before they perform on the stage.

5. EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS
• All are able to stand in line during assembly on time.
– Students are attentive, discipline and engaged in classroom.
– Peace friendly campus
• Students are attentive to the animation of the peers.
• Each Class involves everyone in this process of animation.

6. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED
• They encounter difficulty in choosing a good theme and story for animation.
• The coordination of the students is not the same with everyone.
