ACTIVITIES OF THE YEAR 2016 – 17
1. SEMINAR
The weekly seminar was carried out twice a week by the students on various topics. The purpose of it was to enrich the students with adequate knowledge in the field of their learning.
2. EDUCATIONAL TOUR AND FIELD TRIPS
December 10th to 18th: The department students visited Science city, Victoria Memorial, Mother Teresa Tomb, Indian Museum, Zoological park and Nicco park in Kolkata.
February 5th: A day of field trip to Makhel Village, Senapati District, Mainpur. It is a part of research by the students on socio cultural, economic and political life of the Makhel village.
March 25th: The Department organised a day field trip to Sneha Bhavan, Imphal. The aim and objective of field trip was: (i) to find out the causes of HIV/ AIDS (ii) To find out marginnalised and socially excluded HIV infected women and children
