ORIGIN OF THE DEPARTMENT

Since the inception of the college, the department of Political science has become and integral department in the college. The department has proved its worth beyond from 2004 till date. During the span of a decade, more than 200 students secured ranks in the university exams.

FIELD TRIP TO MANIPUR LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY THE DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

On 3.11.18, the field trip to the Manipur Legislative Assembly was under taken by the Department of Political Science, Don Bosco College Maram with 74 Political Science Honors student escorted by for Dept. Faculty member on the agenda :-

1. The role of Speaker and maintenance of State Assembly
2. Working procedure of the legislative assembly
3. Remarkable legislation in the history of Manipur State Legislative Assembly.

The field trip to the said assembly was set out at 4:30 am with the provoking of GOD’S blessing and guidance from Sr. Wobeno and Mr. Samson, the Class Captain. The department venture into the dusty highway to witness the ‘true spirit of democracy in Manipur Legislative Assembly’. The students were overwhelmed with the joy and there was an ambience of happiness and excitement.

As the department has the appointment at 12.00 in the Old Assembly, the time were spent in visiting the Manipur University Campus. At MU, the department met the gritty professors of the department of Political Science. A short interaction was held with the Varsity Administrator, Sir. Jarnail Singh, former Chief Secretary. The Administrator encourages and motivates the students to be punctual and regular so as to achieve one’s goal. In the next hour the team strolled into the ancient palace of the Manipur King. One can imagine the ancient glory and the rich culture of the state while witnessing the iconic monuments of the Kangla Fort. The calmness and resplendent atmosphere could take back someone to the past. See More
