ACTIVITIES OF THE YEAR 2016 – 17

- Commerce Fest 2017
1. EDUCATIONAL TOUR
December 13th to 21st: An educational tour was to Sikkim, Darjeeling and Nepal. The team acquired historical knowledge, cultural knowledge, Knowledge on the standard living of the people of different states of India and the neighbouring country Nepal. The students also came to know about the main product produced or manufactured in those areas.
2. 18th State Level Accountancy Competition 2017
February 19th: The Association of Commerce Alumni (ACA) department of Commerce, Manipur along with department of Commerce, Don Bosco College, Maram conducted 18th state level Accountancy Competition in two categories. The category ‘A’ for the class XI and Category ‘B’ for XII Commerce students. In Don Bosco College Maram 97 students appeared and Sagar Acharya of Class XI stood first in category A and Vinod Thakur class XII received consolation prize.
3. INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO THE CYMBOPOGON CITRATUS TEA, IMPHAL
March 25th: The industrial visit to the Cymbopogon Citraturs Tea, Imphal. The sixth semester B. Com students around 53 took part in this trip. The place they visited was CCT factory head office and Loktak Lake.
4. COMMERCE FEST 2017
March 30th and 31st: the Commerce Fest was on the topic ‘Demonetization and Digital Economy’. The fest was inaugurated by Mr. L.H. Ngathingshim, MCS, SDO, Tadubi and the guest of the honour Dr. Ksh. Ranjan Singh, asst. prof. Dept of commerce, MU. The valedictory function had the Chief guest Dr. Mohit Kumar Garg, IPS, asst. SP, Senapati. The chief host of the fest was Fr. Dr. K.O. Sebastian, Principal of DBC Maram. The resource person helped the students to reflect the topic very much.
