The study of Honours in Economics was started in 2013 with 45 students. In its first batch 2013-14 in Manipur University Exam the final year students got 6th rank including 1st rank and 100% pass percentage. It has completed four batches of students and fifth batch 2018-19 is undergoing. Seventy-four (74) students were admitted as Economics Hons in the academic session 2018-19 in the Department of Economics. It is with accordance to the first option given by students and their Marks in the Semester I to III of University Exam. This group of Students is the fifth batch in the college and University Exam. The department has four dedicated Faculty members with specialization in various fields in the study of economics.
